FAQ – Capri Marquees

Can you suggest layouts for the marquees?
We have a number of different layouts that we can show you for the marquees as they can be joined together.
How many guests can I acommodate?
28′ x 38′ marquee – up to 80 seated or 100 standing
20′ x 30′ marquee – up to 50 seated or 60 standing
20′ x 20′ marquee – up to 24 seated or 32 standing
Please note that these numbers are used as a guide. We are more than happy to provide individual seating plans for each event.
Are the marquees waterproof?
Yes, all our marquees are waterproof with the sidewalls attached.
Can they be put on hard surfaces?
Unfortunately not, Capri marquees can only be put on grass.
Do you provide a site visit?
Yes free of charge with no obligation to place an order. Please contact us to arrange a time convenient to you.
Do I pay extra for the sidewalls?
No the sidewalls are included in the price.
Can I attach the sidewalls myself?
Yes by all means, normally we will attach them for you but if you would like us to leave them off and you attach them if needs be then that is fine.
How high are the arches?
The middle of the arches are 8ft high which give you plenty of head space.
Can I deorate the marquee myself?
You’re more than welcome to put your own special touch to the marquee, if you could avoid attaching items with tape and staples that would be great.
Can I use party popers?
We would ask that you refrain from using party poppers please as they can stain the marquee.
Do you supply flooring?
Yes, we can supply coconut matting or carpet.
What about electricity for the lights?
All we need to power the lighting for a marquee is a single standard plug socket. We will supply circuit breakers where required. For larger events or events that are not near an electrical supply we can source a generator for you or point you in the right direction.
Is my site suitable?
When we come and do a site visit we can assess the suitability of the site you have chosen and advise about any issues which may arise. Please provide us with the location of any underground services such as water pipes, electrical cables etc which may be damaged by the spikes we use to secure the marquee.
Can you recommend venues and caterers?
Yes, we work closely with many venues and caterers and would be happy to recommend them to you, please phone us to talk through your requirements.
Can you provide furniture?
Yes, we have a wide range of chairs and tables please visit our Furniture page.
Can you supply a heater?
Yes, we can supply a heater to warm the marquee if needed.
What other equipment do you hire?
If you visit Abbey Catering Services they have everyting you should need from cookers, fridges, crockery, cutlery, glasses the list goes on.
What about toilets?
We do not have them ourselves but will do our upmost to help you and point you in the diretion of one of our usual suppliers.
What deposit do you require?
We ask for a 10% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking.
When do you require the final balance?
The balance is due 7 days prior to the day we are due to set the marquee up.
